Patch, Plug, and Sealants

There are many methods to repairing a tire. Any repair attempted without removing the tire from the wheel is improper. Without inspecting the inside of the tire for hidden damage comes the risk of repairing a tire back to minimal standards.

Our method removes the tire from the wheel for a visual assessment inside and out. We then determine the path the object took through the tire and any damage to the innerliner of the tire. This open path is plugged so there is no moisture that can reach the steel belts and the casing cords which are prone to rust and deterioration. Any damage to the innerliner is also patched so the tire is sealed with no air leaks. This overall process will ensure that any tire damage is properly contained and repaired.

Front-End or Four-Wheel Alignment

Front-End alignments are used on some vehicles featuring a solid rear axle. The front wheels of the vehicle are adjusted so they are parallel to the centerline of your vehicle. This is the simplest and most basic alignment.

Four-wheel alignments are performed on vehicles with adjustable rear suspension. All four wheels are aligned to the center of the vehicle. In addition, the rear axle angles are measured and adjusted. A four-wheel alignment restores all four corners of your vehicle to manufacturer’s specifications. This type of alignment is most important for vehicles with front-wheel drive and/or an adjustable rear-wheel suspension.

When you do an alignment you will receive the following services:

Brake Pads and Shoes

Brake pads are the parts that press against your rotors. The friction is used in order to bring your car to a precise stop. As the brakes are applied repeatedly over thousands of miles, the brake pads gradually wear down, reducing their ability to stop the car.

Some current vehicles have a wear indicator in which a small piece of metal attached to the brake pad that contacts the rotor when the pad material has been worn down to a certain level. When the wear indicator grinds against the rotor, it makes a squealing noise as you apply the brakes. This noise is a signal which tells you it's time to have your brakes examined. If the brake pad is severely worn down, it can leave deep, circular-shaped marks and grooves in the brake rotor. Those marks, called scores, look a lot like the grooves on a record and are a sign that the brake pads need to be replaced. If the scoring on the rotor is particularly deep -- from lack of timely maintenance -- the rotor itself may need to be swapped out with a new one.

Your brake pads should last tens of thousands of miles, but that depends on the specific vehicle you drive and your own driving habits. The more you use your brakes, the shorter the lifespan of your brake pads.

Rotor Changes

The rotor is directly connected to each wheel. In order for a car to stop properly, all four rotors have to stop. The brake pads that are attached to each rotor create the friction needed to bring those spinning rotors, and your vehicle, to a stop. The rotors wear every time the brakes are applied.

If the brake pad is severely worn down, it can leave deep, circular-shaped marks and grooves in the brake rotor. Those marks, called scores, look a lot like the grooves on a record and are a sign that the brake pads need to be replaced. If the scoring on the rotor is particularly deep -- from lack of timely maintenance -- the rotor itself may need to be swapped out with a new one. If the grooves don't run too deep into the surface of the rotor, you may be able to have them turned (or machined) to give the rotor a new, smooth surface. Typically, turning a set of rotors costs less than replacing a set of rotors.

If, when you press your brake pedal, you find that you feel a vibration or wobble, it is very possible that the rotors have become twisted or warped. That will be more likely to be the case if you have been hearing a grinding sound a while and have ignored it. Brakes get tremendously hot when hit and the metal will easily warp. If you feel a wobble or vibration when you brake, it will be a warning that the brake pads are failing to make a good contact with the brake rotors.

Corrosion also can kill rotors. All rotors rust to some extent when a vehicle is parked and is not driven for a period of time. The pads will usually scrape the rust off after a few stops, but until then the rust is interfering with the pads and reducing their stopping ability.

Brake Fluid Flush

By pressing on the brake pedal, pressure is created in your brake lines sending brake fluid traveling to each caliper. This then activates your brake pads creating the friction needed to bring your car to a stop.

The vehicle's master cylinder acts as the heart and pumps brake fluid through the brake lines to the brake pads and calipers. Parts, like the rubber in the valves in the master cylinder, calipers and wheel cylinders deteriorate. All the residue and gunk that flake off end up in your brake fluid. Plus, the fluid itself can get old and worn out. Moisture can also get in the system. This type of combination leads to rust, which leads to more residues in your brake fluid. All this adds up to a brake system with compromised effectiveness and decreased stopping power. Any type of leak can diminish your stopping power. Brake fluid leaks are hard to detect. They could lead to your vehicle needing more time to stop or even not stopping at all. Without brake fluid, brakes can’t even function.
